Concept

When Deep Ends showed Jason, Joyride's Creative Director, the song "Splash!" he was instantly hooked. The band initially imagined a bay-area, practically shot, street performance video until they watched the video board that Jason came up with. Boats, a bank heist, one of the artists taller than the skyscrapers, a jail break, and a car chase across the Golden Gate bridge that was to be set in stylized CGI San Francisco. 

Post Production

The entirety of the video was shot on green-screen, used extensive rotoscoping, match moving, and 3D CGI backgrounds made to look stylistic rather than realistic in nature. Joyride handled all of the post-production and VFX for "Splash!"
